To begin, download update files from Kaspersky Download Center .
For newcomers :
1.Download Full Update ie either kis 11 or kis 12 and extract it (say to c:\kaspersky update).
2.Go to kaspersky settings>update settings>update source>add>browse to the main update folder(c:\kaspersky update) and click ok, uncheck "kaspersky lab update servers" (else you will have to disconnect internet connection.)
3. Make sure you have all three required folder "BASES","INDEX","AUTO PATCHES" in kaspersky update folder, before updating.
3.Update your kaspersky !
For those who want to update their kaspersky every week:

3.Update your kaspersky !
For those who want to update their kaspersky every week:
You will have to download the Full Update file once, no need to download full update file again for next time. First time you have to update your kaspersky with Full Update. From Second time on wards you just have to download Weekly Update files (DEFINITION and PROGRAM) and then follow these instructions.
1. Extract Full Update file (say in c:\kaspersky update)
2. extract weekly update files ( say in c:\weekly update)
3. Go to c:\weekly update , you will see three folders namely, autopatches, bases and index. Copy those three folders and paste them in c:\kaspersky update.
4. Upon prompt, click "yes to all"
5. Files in Full Update folder is updated with the latest updates. Now its time to update kaspersky!
6. Go to settings>update settings>update source>add>browse to the Full update folder (c:\kaspersky update) and click ok, also uncheck "kaspersky lab update servers" (else you will have to disconnect internet connection.)
7. Make sure you have all three required folder "BASES","INDEX","AUTO PATCHES" in kaspersky update folder, before updating.
8. Click apply , and now everythng is set to update kaspersky!!

5. Files in Full Update folder is updated with the latest updates. Now its time to update kaspersky!

Note:
- You have to copy contents from Weekly update folder --to--> main update folder and NOT the other way.
- In update report, you will see errors like, update file is currpted. If the file path is ..\x64\... then neglect it(as 32bit kis version doesnt require x64 files) ..If any other files are currupted, please report us in kaspersky download center or email us at techostop@gmail.com
- Please note that offline updates that has definitions older than 15 days then you might get error similar like "license verification failed". So you will have to update your Full update folder with latest weekly updates.
